A man has been charged over a triple shooting in east London that left one man dead and two injured.

Patrick Ford, 36, died in Newham in the early hours of 29 May.

Jamaican Michael Smith, 25, of Newham, is due before Camberwell magistrates charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

On Tuesday, Kevin Powell, 34, of Harlesden, west London, was charged with the attempted murder of a 26-year-old and possession of a firearm.

He appeared at Brentford Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody until September.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
