The man was being treated in Letterkenny Hospital where he died on Monday afternoon.

A man from Londonderry has died after falling from a hotel window in Donegal Town.

He has been named locally as Conor Duddy from the Lecky Road in Brandywell.

The 20-year-old fell from the third floor of the Abbey Hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He was being treated in hospital in Letterkenny where he died on Monday afternoon. Gardai in Donegal are appealing for witnesses.

Fr Roland Colhoun from Long Tower parish knew Conor and paid tribute to him.

"Conor was a wonderful young fellow, from a marvellous family.

"He was well brought up, worked hard and studied well. He was highly intelligent and had just completed his first year in university."
