The rider, who was from Daventry but is yet to be named, died at the scene in Northampton Road, Brackley, shortly after 0100 BST on Sunday.
Police said it was not yet known why the man came off the Suzuki motorbike. No other vehicles were involved.
Officers are keen to trace anyone who saw the motorcyclist leave the centre of Brackley via the High Street just before the incident.
