A 66-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder a 73-year-old man in Suffolk.

Police were called to a property in Exmoor Road in Felixstowe on Saturday evening after reports a man had been hit with a spade.

Officers found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his neck, legs and body, and with head injuries, police said.

A man was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by officers at Ipswich police station.
