A 46-year-old man who is wanted for prison recall after his release from HMP Camp Hill on the Isle of Wight could be in Sussex.
Police said Lloyd Alan Patrick Kennedy is believed to have links to Warnham, near Horsham in West Sussex.
Officers have distributed leaflets to more than 400 homes, pubs and shops in the area in a bid to find him.
Sussex Police said if anyone spotted Kennedy they should not approach him but contact the force instead.
A spokesman for the force said he was released from prison on 26 May.
In an appeal for help in finding Kennedy, police released a picture of him and said he had a slim build and was about 5ft 7ins tall.
