Manchester Business School opens Miami base
Manchester Business School (MBS) has announced it will open a campus in the US city of Miami.
It will offer part-time MBA courses to 30 Florida-based students from September.
It aims to provide 600 places annually within the next three years for international business students.
An MBS spokesman said that establishing the campus gave it a base in "one of the most important business locations in the world".
MBS dean, Professor Michael Luger, said: "MBS is a pioneer in international business education, with twenty years of experience and the Miami centre is testament to our continued success."
Sharon Memis, British Council Director in the USA said: "We expect considerable interest in MBS Global MBA courses that prepare executives for a changing and challenging international business environment."
During the two and a half-year part-time course, students will have the opportunity to study at any of the eight other MBS overseas centres, including Shanghai, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Rio de Janeiro.
