Meghan Markle issued stark warning as UK visit up in air
Meghan Markle has been issued with a firm warning by the King ahead of her visit to the UK next month. The Duchess of Sussex is set to accompany her husband to mark the one-year countdown to Harry’s Invictus Games, although doubts remain over whether they will bring their children due to concerns over security.
Whilst King Charles is understood to be the driving force behind the visit, it is reported that he has made one thing very clear. A source told Closer: “Charles has gone above and beyond to make this visit happen, but nobody should mistake that for blind trust. The reality is that he's taking a huge chance and he knows it. He's made it very clear to Harry that there cannot be any drama or any hint that this trip is being used for personal gain.”
Princess Catherine had a busy weekend last week as she took on the Three Peaks challenge, but this has not stopped her from getting back to work. The Princess of Wales, 44, may have spent the weekend climbing three of the highest mountain peaks in the UK in hiking gear, but it seems that she has already stepped back into her royal shoes.
This is because Catherine returned to work on Tuesday morning with a private engagement. This saw Prince William’s wife hold a meeting at Windsor Castle. This meeting took place on Tuesday morning, according to the official Court Circular.
The Prince of Wales has issued a surprise message to the England team tonight after they won Wednesday's World Cup match against the Democratic Republic of Congo. Prince William, who did not attend the match in person, posted on social media: "Never in doubt (winky face emoji). Well done England! Onto the next" W."
Prince William is a big football fan, and is likely to have watched the match at home. He, like the rest of England, probably felt tense as he watched England 1-0 down at half-time. However, this soon turned around in the second half when Harry Kane scored not one, but two, goals.
Prince Harry was criticised by a royal expert over his “contradictions” regarding his return to Britain. The Duke of Sussex is coming back to the UK next week for a five-day trip to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham.
But his visit is still shrouded in mystery, including whether he will bring his whole family, including his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, given his security arrangements. The duke was waiting for a review by the Risk Management Board (RMB), part of the process by which the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) rules on his security requirements, but learned on Friday that it had yet to take place. Now, a royal expert has weighed in on the security row and given his own assessment of Harry’s true motives.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly fear that there will be no crowds on their upcoming UK trip, it has been revealed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are expected to arrive in Britain within the next few days if no changes are made, are expected to carry out some public engagements on their visit.
While Harry, 41, was in the UK not too long ago, it has been four years since his wife, Meghan, 44, properly set foot in the country. This is reportedly due to Harry’s security concerns for his wife and children. Although public opinion on Meghan does not seem to be very favourable according to various polls, it is believed that the Duchess of Sussex does not fear being booed.
Prince Harry is reportedly still planning to bring his wife Meghan and their two children to the UK this month. There is still uncertainty about whether the Duchess of Sussex and their children Archie and Lilibet will accompany the Duke of Sussex, unless security arrangements are put in place.
TalkTV presenter Kevin O'Sullivan addressed the latest reports during Tuesday's edition of his show, where he made a bombshell claim. The broadcaster claimed Harry wanted to meet with his father, King Charles, but by bringing Archie and Lilibet this would guarantee police protection.
Kevin claimed: "I think this was the plan all along. It was to build King Charles up and Britain, to the idea that our King is finally going to get to see his grandchildren again.
Then to whip that away from the King and the nation saying, 'well, you still won't give me that gun guard or police armed protection that I need, that I demand, so I'm not going to bring Meghan and the kids back."
King Charles is understandably the most famous Charles in the Royal Family; however, there is another relative who shares his first name. Princess Margaret's grandson, Charles, Viscount Linley, may rarely be seen in public, but Wednesday marks a special day for him as he is marking his 27th birthday.
The late Queen's sister had three grandsons and one granddaughter, all of whom led normal lives. They typically only appear for major national events, such as royal weddings and funerals, and often at Christmas.
Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley, is the only one of Princess Margaret's grandchildren to have a title. Despite being a cousin of the King, very little is known about him.
Prince William and Princess Catherine will not be in attendance at Taylor Swift's star-studded wedding to American football star Travis Kelce, an insider has revealed. The confirmation comes just weeks after William playfully hinted that he had been invited during an appearance on Heart FM's Breakfast show.
Taylor and Travis, both 36, are reportedly set to tie the knot this week, with the wedding thought to be taking place in New York City. William has previously met Taylor on a few occasions, with Princess Charlotte known to be "obsessed" with the US singer-songwriter and her music.
The 44-year-old attended the first night of Taylor's Eras Tour London shows in June 2024, alongside Princess Charlotte and Prince George.
King Charles held a special family dinner last night, but it seems two key royals did not have a seat at the table. The monarch reportedly held the family meal at the Palace of Holyroodhouse last night in Edinburgh.
This comes during Royal Week, when the King and his wife, Queen Camilla, stay up in Scotland to conduct various engagements around the country. While the King did not publicly confirm the dinner, it is believed he dined last night with Camilla, his son Prince William, and his siblings Princess Anne and Prince Edward. The family members all gathered at the Palace and then stayed the night.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's trip has already been marred with controversy before the pair have even set foot on British soil. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return to Britain this month, marking the first return to the UK in four years for Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie. However, issues surrounding their security and police protection continues to be a source of frustration for the family. The question on everyone's lips now is "will they or won't they" return to the UK this month.
Their arrival has been seen a significant step in repairing relations with the Royal Family as they are expected to travel from the US with their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, between July 6 and July 10 for the "One Year To Go" Invictus events in Birmingham. According to insiders, King Charles has also invited the family to stay at a royal residence during the visit.
Celebrity psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman has shared the "reason" behind the Sussexes' UK return and predicted it may be "financially motivated".
Duchess Sophie turned heads today as she attended an event sporting a bold new haircut for the first time in over a decade. The Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival in Hitchin.
She appeared in her role as Honorary President of Linking Environment And Farming (LEAF), an organisation promoting sustainable food and farming. The royal looked trendy in a maxi denim skirt, a blue blouse, and brown suede boots. Sophie’s new haircut is a modern blunt blob with a side fringe to frame her face. The last time she sported a different haircut was in 2011, when she sported a bob again.
Prince William left those around him during an engagement in London in stitches after mishearing a comment made about air fryers. The 44-year-old stepped out earlier this week to mark the third anniversary of his Homewards initiative, with the royal furnishing a property in Aberdeen, one of six areas across the country where he is trying to create a template to eradicate homelessness in all its forms.
The furniture for the Aberdeen flat was provided by organisations and businesses, such as Ikea, which is supporting the homeless initiative. Helen Gauld, Langstane’s chief executive, then mentioned air fryers, which were misheard by William, who replied by saying, “Some of us don’t need hair dryers”.
The comment was met wth laughter by those present, including William himself.
Meghan Markle's lifestyle business, As Ever, has been hit by another hurdle, as it has been revealed that she still hasn't managed to trademark her company. The brand was initially named American Riviera Orchard, but Meghan ran into problems when her trademark application was declined by the US Patent and Trademark Office. She then launched under the existing name, As Ever.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, Diary Editor Richard Eden has revealed that Meghan has just been granted her second six-month extension to complete her application by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as the request remains in limbo.
A legal document issued alongside the extension reads: "Applicant's second request for Extension of Time to File a Statement of Use has been granted. Applicant must continue to file extension requests every six months... until a Statement of Use is filed, or the USPTO will abandon the application."

The King’s Trust announced that its annual carol concert will take place at Westminster Abbey this year for the first time, to mark the charity’s 50th anniversary.
The confirmation comes just weeks after William playfully hinted that he had been invited during an appearance on Heart FM's Breakfast show.
The once-close brothers have reportedly not been on speaking terms for a number of years, with their ongoing feud escalating further after Harry's exit from royal life and his verbal attacks about members of the family.
The 44-year-old is travelling to the UK with her family, with Prince Harry's attendance at the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games known to be the primary reason for their visit.
The 75-year-old joined the King, Queen Camilla and Prince Edward to attend the Garden Party in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse on June 30.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had planned a five-day return to Britain together next week, with the visit reportedly providing an opportunity for their children Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Liliebt, five, to see their father’s home country.
The Duke of Sussex will travel from California in July, but questions remain about whether he will be accompanied by his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
