Two men charged with manslaughter after the death of a man in a suspected arson attack in Portsmouth in 2007 have been remanded in custody.

Kevin Holmes, 43, died in a fire at a flat in Milton Road, Southsea, between 16 and 17 September that year.

James Vaughan, 30, of no fixed abode, and Gavin Heath, 39, of Brighton, were also charged with arson and assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).

The pair were remanded to go before Winchester Crown Court on 2 July.

A second man suffered injuries in the fire.

Gary Vaughan, 35, of Worthing, West Sussex, who was arrested as part of the same investigation, appeared in court on Thursday charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine.
