The Grade II listed structure has been shut since 16 May to allow the replacement of electric motors fitted almost 100 years ago.
The bridge will now reopen at 0700 BST on Wednesday provided satisfactory testing of equipment is completed.
The bridge, which can carry 200 passengers or six cars, at any time, on a suspended gondola, celebrates its centenary next year.
The 225ft (69m) high structure is one of Teesside's most recognisable landmarks and is seen as a symbol of the area's industrial heritage.
