Police investigating a £1m raid on jewellers at London's Westfield shopping centre have made more arrests.

Five men, aged between 22 and 42, have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and have been bailed. Fifteen arrests have been made so far.

Raiders targeted branches of De Beers and Tiffany & Co at the mall in Shepherd's Bush, west London.

Up to 10 people wearing masks used sledgehammers to smash their way into the complex through a fire door.

Witnesses said window displays and glass cases were cleared of valuable jewellery, understood to include necklaces, rings and bracelets, many of which were studded with diamonds.

Westfield officials said the burglary, which took place on 5 May, was the first of its kind to take place at the shopping centre.

So far, 10 males, aged from 15 to 27, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.
