Motorcyclist killed in Shifnal crash is identified

A motorcyclist who died in a collision with a car in Shropshire has been named by police.

Michael Hutchinson, of Lynton Avenue, Wolverhampton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Haughton Road, Shifnal on Monday, police said.

The 41-year-old's black and red Suzuki motorcycle collided with a blue Citroen Saxo.

West Mercia Police said the car driver, a woman, received minor cuts and grazes.

Sgt Pete Jones said: "I would urge anyone who saw the collision, or the circumstances leading up to it, to contact police."
