Two Premium Bonds savers from Reading and Warwickshire have become millionaires after scooping this month's jackpot prizes.

Both bondholders received the life-changing news that they had each won £1million in the July 2026 draw, with Agent Million delivering the tax-free windfalls.

The Reading resident becomes only the second person from the area to claim the top prize, whilst the Warwickshire winner marks the tenth millionaire created in that county through Premium Bonds.

ERNIE, the electronic random number generator that selects winning bonds, distributed more than six million prizes during this month's draw, with the total prize pot exceeding £433million.

The successful bond from Reading, numbered 250TP871786, was bought in July 2015 as part of a portfolio worth £49,931.

Meanwhile, the Warwickshire winner's fortune came from bond number 217AV429216, acquired in January 2014 within a much smaller holding of £14,000.

The results show that even smaller Premium Bond holdings can land the jackpot.

Although the Reading winner held almost the maximum investment, the Warwickshire winner secured the same £1million prize with a much smaller holding. Both had been invested for more than a decade.

Andrew Westhead, NS&I Retail Director, said: "Agent Million has delivered some life-changing news to two Premium Bonds holders in Reading and Warwickshire this July.

"They're not the only ones celebrating ERNIE drew more than six million tax-free prizes this month, worth over £433 million in total. That's around £57 million more than last month thanks to the increase in the prize fund rate for July.

The uplift in the prize fund rate for July resulted in a significantly larger pot for bondholders compared to the previous month's draw.

The July draw saw ERNIE allocate 6,226,179 tax-free prizes with a combined value of £433,757,200, drawn from nearly 137 billion eligible £1 bonds.

Beyond the two jackpot winners, 83 bondholders claimed £100,000 prizes, whilst 165 received £50,000 and 331 won £25,000.

Residents in both winning areas may also have forgotten fortunes waiting to be collected.

Reading currently has 15,032 unclaimed prizes totalling £619,900, with the largest outstanding award worth £10,000 from October 2015.

Warwickshire fares similarly, with 20,377 prizes worth £856,100 remaining uncollected, including a £10,000 prize from January 2005.
