Police in Bristol have seized a shotgun and cannabis with a street value of more than £230,000.

A force spokesman said warrants were executed in Woodside Road and Enfield Road on Wednesday.

In total, officers seized more than 400 cannabis plants, dried cannabis, almost £40,000 in cash, a shotgun, and two Rolex watches.

A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, and money laundering.

He was also arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity, the police spokesman said.

In a separate incident, officers recovered a firearm found in the road in Eastville.

A spokesman said firearms officers were sent to Shamrock Road at about 1610 BST on Wednesday after a member of the public reported finding a gun.

He said it was being examined to determine whether it was real or imitation.
