An Oxfordshire doctor has been charged with 18 sexual offences against 10 women.

The women, aged in their 20s, 30s and 40s, claim they were sexually assaulted between February 2008 and January 2009.

Dr Yenugula Srinivas, 40, of Bletchingdon, worked as a locum doctor across the county.

He is charged in relation to alleged offences at surgeries in St Clements in Oxford, in Islip and the Bury Knowle Surgery in Headington.

Dr Srinivas has been bailed to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on 11 June.

A spokesperson for NHS Oxfordshire said: "We can confirm that a locum GP, Dr Yenugula Srinivas, is facing criminal charges following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.

"Due to the ongoing criminal proceedings we are unable to say anything further at this time."
