Pacific media leaders aim for gender equality - ABC International Development

The 2006 Women in Media symposium was held in Fiji, bringing together leaders in the field for important discussions about fair and equal representation in the Pacific.

In this Pacific Beat segment, three prominent leaders in the Pacific media talk about the conference objectives, discussions and resulting plans of action. Important topics were the challenges of domestic violence, sexual harassment in the workplace, the use of language, gender policies and women in leadership positions in the media.
