A woman who was found dead in a multi-storey car park in Devon has been named by police.

Teresa Parkin, 29, died after falling from Fleet Walk Car Park, in Carey Parade, Torquay, at about 2100 BST on Thursday.

Police are treating the death of the mother-of-one as suspicious. A Torquay man, 44, was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.

Ms Parkin's family have been informed of her death and are being supported.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw a man and woman arguing on the top floor of the car park at about 2045 BST on Thursday.

It is believed Ms Parkin died after falling from the top of the car park.

Police said that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, but it was thought that the suspect and victim were known to each other.

The man arrested is due to answer bail on 28 July.
