A total of 190 bottles and cans of alcohol have been seized by police in Derbyshire in a crackdown on anti-social behaviour and underage drinking.

Officers from Chaddesden, Spondon, Oakwood and Derwent Safer Neighbour Policing teams confiscated the drinks over the past three months.

Most of the alcohol seized was lager and wine, with spirits and alcopops making up the remainder.

Pc Mick Bailey said it officers would continue to target nuisance behaviour.

He said: "We will not tolerate this behaviour in the neighbourhoods we look after...

"We urge residents to report any signs of anti-social behaviour to us, giving us a description of the individuals and the time and place it is occurring. This way we can be more effective in targeting the problems."

Officers also seized two mini-motor bikes, a mini quad bike and a motorbike which were all being used illegally.
