Harry and Meghan's UK visit has turned into a disaster before it has even begun in a crisis of the couple's own making, it has been suggested. It is believed that an offer for the Sussexes to use a royal residence has not even been accepted. A source told The Daily Mail: "For the sake of family harmony the Palace would have been perfectly happy with a peaceful and low-key visit. Yet, once again, they have turned it into a soap opera. It's tiresome."

The newspaper also referenced a pronouncement from Meghan and Harry that the prince was considering leaving his wife and children in California over security arrangements. A source told The Guardian: "Their plans to see family... and visit charitable causes close to the duke's heart have been pulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour. He's looking at every option to get the family here safely."

Princess Catherine has revealed the name she uses in public after sending a new message of support to a young boy for a good cause.

The Princess of Wales has made an undisclosed donation to support 11-year-old Ted Haslam, a wheelchair user she met during her charity trek over the weekend.

In a new message, she revealed the moniker she uses in public.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were accused of “using their children” to secure a victory regarding their security in Britain by a royal commentator.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be coming back to the UK next month for the first time in four years. Harry had planned to be joined by Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on his five-day trip to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham.

But a royal commentator was critical of the Sussexes and said their move had an “unedifying” motive.

The Princess of Wales had made a donation to support an 11-year-old paraplegic boy she met during her recent charity trek.

Princess Catherine climbed the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – finishing the demanding route within 24 hours over the weekend.

She undertook the trekking challenge on her own, with support from Mountain Rescue along the way, to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Whilst on Ben Nevis, Catherine met Ted Haslam, a young wheelchair user who also took on the Three Peaks Challenge that day.

The Duke of Kent has been pictured among a number of celebrities taking in the first day of Wimbledon today.

Prince Edward, 90, was snapped paying close attention as the match went on at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

Former England football captain Sir David Beckham, former Great British Bake Off judge Dame Mary Berry and ex-Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly were among the celebrities also spotted at the prestigious tennis event.

However, another controversial guest also appeared today.

Prince Harry's spokesperson has issued a fiery statement in response to numerous reports about the duke's security when he returns to the UK next week.

He has vowed to look at 'all options' to allow his wife and children to come with him, after his bid to secure enhanced security provisions was declined.

The latest getaway appears to signal that the young royals will be in the UK next month, despite the fresh fears over the family's security when they travel to Britain.

It seems that the trip is morphing into a disaster before it has even started, as it has been claimed that plans have been pulled out from under the Sussexes’ feet at the last minute.

The 44-year-old celebrated finishing the intense challenge this weekend, with many of her relatives - including her three children - congratulating her at the finish line.

Royal Ascot – the highlight of the British summer social calendar and an event the sisters have regularly attended in the past – ran from June 16 to June 20, but Beatrice and Eugenie were nowhere to be seen in either the carriage procession or in the Royal Box to watch the horse races.

The 41-year-old is set to return to the UK to attend the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, with his family previously confirmed to be joining him.

The children, who have grown up in America, have not stepped foot in Britain since 2022, and will no doubt be excited to see their father’s home country. It is believed the visit will allow them to spend time with certain royal relatives too, including King Charles.

Andrew is also said to have insisted staff should continue addressing him by his former royal title despite relinquishing it in October 2025 and no longer being a working royal.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, will return to Britain next month with her husband, Prince Harry, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

She is understood to have been the first member of the Royal Family to have undertaken the physical endurance challenge, which saw the princess climb the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland, which involves 23 miles of walking, 3,064m of vertical climbing and 462 miles of driving between the locations.

Meghan Markle has been described as "fighting all corners" as royal expert Ingrid Seward points out that she has to make key change.
