The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 result today, July 16. Candidates who appeared for the medical entrance examination can now download their scorecards from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.According to the NTA, nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, which was held on June 21, 2026.

Out of them, more than 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses.The agency said the results have been announced on time to ensure that the counselling and admission process for medical colleges begins as per schedule.NEET UG 2026: OverviewNEET UG 2026 was conducted at 5,440 examination centres across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

The exam was held in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese and Urdu.More than 58 per cent of the qualified candidates are women. Counselling for state quota seats will be carried out by the respective state authorities.The NTA has advised candidates to rely only on the official websites for counselling updates and warned them against fake calls, messages or websites claiming to offer admissions, seat blocking or score improvement.
