Former NPR newscaster and Washington DC producer Rich Adams died late yesterday at age 53. The exact cause of death has not been determined. Adams worked at NPR from 1971-74. He went on to produce the programs "Agronsky and Company" and "Inside Washington" at WUSA-TV. He wrote a column called "EMS" for FIREHOUSE magazine.
