The man who died after going missing in the River Lagan on Saturday morning was Michael Young, 22, from the Rosetta area of south Belfast.

Mr Young's body was found near Cutter's Wharf on Sunday after a search operation which involved divers and victim recovery dogs.

He had gone into the river at about 0600 BST on Saturday along with four other men.

The others were treated in hospital but their injuries were not serious.

Mr Young's body was removed for post-mortem examination.

It is not yet clear what led to the men being in the water, but one local resident, who spoke to the BBC, said with the recent warm weather, there had been an increase in the number of people swimming in the river.
