Royal fans rage about Meghan Markle’s bombshell career move

Royal fans have issued their own verdict after reports claimed Meghan Markle could return to acting following her bombshell decision to relocate to the US. Speculation about the Duchess of Sussex returning to the screen emerged as news about the couple’s move to Britain sent shockwaves around the world this week.

Meghan, 45, is understood to be in early-stage discussions over a possible role in a third series of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix hit The Gentlemen, Deadline reported. The show, starring Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, has yet to be renewed for a third season, according to reports. The duchess, who played Rachel Zane in the US legal drama Suits before marrying Harry, returned to acting for the first time in nearly a decade with a cameo as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends.

But some fans were not impressed with the latest developments and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on X: “This news that Meghan is returning to acting is to distract from their disastrous time in Hollywood.

“She didn't want to return to acting initially, as I think Meghan is smart enough to realise she wasn't good at it, but now that things are desperate, she's going to give it the old college try.”

Another one added: “Please she can't act. I never heard of Meghan until she married Harry.”

A third one commented: “Just watch her as ever ads and you see she IS NOT an actor. She can't pose for a photo, let alone anything else.”

A fourth one said: “This will be another crash and burn attempt at a rebrand. Meghan is a terrible actress.”

A sixth one then wrote: “Excuse me whilst I split my sides laughing. She is quite a rubbish actor.”

Others were excited about Meghan’s possible new move, with one fan writing on Instagram: “Good on Meghan.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be coming back to the UK at the end of the month and will live in a non-royal residence outside of London

Harry and Meghan have already enrolled Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in British schools.

Their move comes after the duke and duchess took their children to see their grandfather the King for the first time in four years at his Highgrove home in July.

The couple are not thought to have raised the prospect of a return to the UK at that meeting.
