King Charles has reportedly offered one of his royal residences to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their return to the UK next month. The couple are set to travel to the UK within days, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, also confirmed to be joining them.

Following the recent confirmation of their visit, royal fans began speculating about where the family might stay during the trip, and it was then reported that the King had made an offer to his youngest son. It remains unclear which, if any, royal residence was offered to the Sussexes.

It also remains unknown if Harry and Meghan have reached out to accept or decline the King's offer.

In a poll conducted by the Daily Express, royal fans were asked if the King should have offered the couple a royal residence to stay at next month.

Of the 4,250 people who cast a vote, 3,821 voted that the King should not have proposed the offer, whilst 367 agreed that he should have.

In the poll, which ran between 12pm on June 28 and 2pm on June 29, an additional 62 voted that they were unsure.

In the comment section, one fan wrote: "The Sussexes are toxic toward the Royal Family and the monarchy..."

Making a suggestion, another royal fan added: "Maybe Andrew could put them up. All the ex-royals together under one roof..."

A third added: "To allow them to stay in a Crown-owned building such as BP would be an insult to the memories of every monarch since Victoria nearly two hundred years ago."

The couple, as well as their children, are reportedly set to stay in the UK for one week.
