Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” surges back onto four U.K. charts following the release of a collectible vinyl edition. The smash returns at No. 1 on the Official Vinyl Singles chart, giving Carpenter her fifth career leader on the ranking. “Espresso” also reenters at No. 2 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Physical Singles tallies, while returning to the Official Singles chart at No. 26.

A little more than two years ago, Sabrina Carpenter finally emerged as the pop superstar she was always destined to become. The singer had already released multiple albums and reached a handful of charts before “Espresso” turned her into a certified hitmaker and one of the most exciting new names in the global music industry.

In the two-plus years since that track arrived, Carpenter has racked up multiple new smashes, while her two albums Short n’ Sweet – which includes “Espresso” – and its quick follow-up Man’s Best Friend have netted her a dozen Grammy nominations and confirmed that she is far from a one-hit wonder.

A new collectible version of “Espresso” was recently released to celebrate the tune’s second anniversary, though it comes a few months late. The vinyl pressing actually includes liquid that moves as the record plays, something of a trend in the format as artists continue to find new ways to make physical releases collectible.

“Espresso” returns to multiple charts in the United Kingdom this week, thanks in part to that re-release, though it is not as if the track has faded from the minds of the masses in that country.

“Espresso” returns at No. 1 on one of the four U.K. charts it reenters this week. The smash breaks back onto the Official Vinyl Singles tally in first place. The single has now spent 27 weeks somewhere on the vinyl-focused roster, though those frames are spread across a much longer stretch of time.

Carpenter has now racked up five No. 1 hits on the Official Vinyl Singles chart, which ranks the bestselling singles purchased on vinyl throughout the U.K. More than half of her eight career appearances on the tally have risen all the way to the summit. “Please Please Please,” “Nonsense,” “Manchild” and “House Tour” have all taken turns running the show, and they now induct “Espresso” into that club. Of that bunch, only “Please Please Please” has spent more than one frame at No. 1.

Several other Carpenter tracks have come close to conquering the roster but missed out by a space or two. “Taste” and “Tears” peaked at No. 2, while “Bed Chem” stalled at No. 3.

“Espresso” debuted on the Official Vinyl Singles chart in June 2024, only a few weeks after it was released. At the time, the smash opened at No. 2 and was blocked from the penthouse by Raye, who scored a leader with “Genesis.”

“Espresso” also returns to two U.K. additional sales rosters at No. 2 this week. The track reenters the Official Singles Sales chart in the runner-up position. It has conquered that broader sales ranking in the past.

“Espresso” also returns to its previously established high of No. 2 on the Official Physical Singles tally, which focuses on purchases on all physical formats. The tune first debuted in that position in May 2024 and has returned to the same rung multiple times, but it has never managed to rise one space higher.

“Espresso” has now spent 74 weeks on the Official Singles Sales roster and 105 frames — just over two years — on the Official Physical Singles chart.

“Espresso” also bounds back onto the Official Singles chart, the main ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.K., where both sales and streams matter. The Grammy-winning smash reenters at No. 26.

“Espresso” had only been missing from the general singles tally for a few months, having fallen away in June of this year. Its No. 26 returning point marks the song’s highest placement on the Official Singles roster since January 2025.
