Sandra Bullock Is Reportedly Urging Nicole Kidman To 'Be Careful' With Her New Romance
Sandra Bullock knows firsthand how quickly a picture-perfect romance can turn into heartbreak, which is why she’s reportedly urging Nicole Kidman to proceed with caution in her new relationship.
In July, Kidman was spotted on vacation in Portofino, Italy, with private equity investor Michael Reinstein. It was the first official marker that the Oscar winner was moving on from her divorce from Keith Urban. But her Practical Magic 2 co-star wants her to “be careful” before diving headfirst into the relationship, according to Woman’s Day.
“Sandra recognizes the same type of swagger that she saw in Jesse,” a source said in reference to Bullock’s marriage to TV personality Jesse James. “For someone as high-profile and image-conscious as Nicole, it’s a lot of baggage to take on so soon after a long marriage.”
Bullock was married to the motorcycle mechanic from 2005 until their explosive ending in 2010, just weeks after winning an Oscar for The Blind Side. He was cheating on her with multiple women, which became sensationalized in the tabloids. That reason alone may be why Bullock is protective over Kidman as she jumps back into the dating pool.
Reinstein’s controversial past is also making the rounds, likely due to his A-list girlfriend. According to the Daily Mail, his connections to “scandals over telemarketing, unpaid fashion models, and soap that ‘cured cancer,'” have raised eyebrows in the fashion industry.
While Kidman is “having a ton of fun” with Reinstein, according to Woman’s Day, her friends seem to be hoping that this is just a post-divorce fling.
“No one had her dating someone like this on their bingo card for this year,” the insider continued. “Everyone’s hoping this is just a rebound.”
For now, Kidman appears to be enjoying the excitement of starting a new chapter, despite the concerns from those closest to her. But with Bullock drawing on her own painful experience, she likely wants Kidman to take her time before deciding whether this romance is worth the risk.
