A UK security company which said it had more than 30 years of industry experience has been ordered to wind up by the High Court. First Response Security Team Limited, based in Luton, Bedfordshire, has entered compulsory liquidation after a winding-up order was made on June 24, 2026.

According to a notice published in The London Gazette, the winding-up petition was filed on May 5, 2026, before the High Court issued the order earlier this week. The Official Receiver has now been appointed as liquidator to oversee the company's affairs.

Founded in 2012, the company said it was built on more than three decades of experience in the security industry through its senior management team.

The business provided a range of security services to public, private and third-sector organisations, including event management, surveillance, logistics protection and facilities management.

On its website, First Response described itself as "an industry leader" offering bespoke security solutions and said it had been established after identifying shortcomings within the wider security sector.

The company said: "Our senior management team has over 30 years of industry experience. After identifying a deficiency within the security services industry, we created First Response in 2012 to begin delivering truly unparalleled security services."

It added that strong leadership ensured the business never deviated from its commitment to "integrity and quality", with the aim of giving clients "complete peace of mind".

The company also highlighted its work in the local community, including supporting a weekly curry kitchen for homeless people and taking part in Luton Foodbank's annual food drive.

Its website stated that the business had also worked to reduce its carbon footprint while promoting environmentally friendly working practices.

Explaining its mission, the company said its purpose was to deliver "unbeatable security services" that allowed customers to focus on running their businesses without worrying about the safety of people or premises.

It also said: "Integrity and a dedication to the pursuit of quality define everything that we do."

The reasons behind the winding-up order have not been disclosed in the court notice.

The Official Receiver, based in Birmingham, has been appointed to administer the liquidation process following the High Court's decision.
