Several tonnes of hay in Ludlow barn catch fire

More than 30 firefighters have been tackling a fire at a barn in south Shropshire.

Up to eight tonnes of hay caught fire in a Dutch barn on Hope Bagot Lane in Knowbury, near Ludlow.

A trailer was also involved and crews had to take measures to protect nearby buildings from catching fire, a fire service spokesman said.

The incident also led to the closure of the road. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
