Three GP practices based at a surgery in Northamptonshire which was seriously damaged by fire have been found new premises.

Gold Street Medical Centre in Wellingborough has been closed since the fire on 15 May.

Hemmingwell Lodge is being given an emergency refurbishment, NHS Northamptonshire said.

It will house Abbey Medical Practice, Dr Datta and Partners and Dr Patel and Partners for about 18 months.

The practices will then move to previously planned, purpose-built premises which are being completed on the Isebrook Hospital site in Irthlingborough Road.

Patients will be contacted directly about the change, the health trust added.

Abbey Medical Practice is currently at Isebrook Hospital, and Dr Datta and Partners and Dr Patel and Partners are both at Albany House Medical Centre in Queens Street.
