A pedestrian was taken to hospital after he was knocked down by a van in East Sussex.

The 35-year-old man suffered head injuries when he was hit by a white van in London Road, St Leonards, at 1810 BST on 2 June.

Sussex Police have appealed for information about the driver, who failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. His injuries are not thought to be serious.
