Swansea City transfer news: Swans close in on signing of RB Salzburg's Moussa Yeo

Swansea City are closing in on the signing of Moussa Yeo from Red Bull Salzburg.

The winger is expected to undergo a medical at the Championship club with a view to making a permanent switch to the Swansea.com Stadium.

Yeo, 22, previously worked with current Swans head coach Vitor Matos at the Austrian club in 2024.

Matos has been eager to bolster his wide options following the departures of loan players Manuel Benson, who left in January, and Gustavo Nunes.

First-choice wide men Ronald and Eom Jisung managed four and two league goals respectively in 2025-26.

Zeidane Inoussa, who moved to south Wales last summer, missed a significant chunk of his debut season with Swansea due to a back injury but managed one goal in 29 appearances when fit.

Mali-born wideman Yeo, who had a loan spell with FC Liefering at the beginning of his professional career, made his senior RB Salzburg debut in an Austrian Bundesliga contest against Hartberg in May 2024.

He scored six goals in 32 appearances during his first full campaign in the club's first team in 2024-25.

Yeo featured 30 times across all competitions for the club last season and scored two goals, one of which came in a 3-2 Europa League loss to Aston Villa in January.

Swansea have already completed the signing of centre-back Stephen Welsh from Scottish giants Celtic this summer.
