Craigavon company CM Machinery has won a contract in Switzerland worth around £400,000, with support from Invest NI.

CM Machinery has been in business for more than 30 years and employs 15 people. It manufactures industrial machinery for a range of companies.

The new contract is for the design and manufacture of cutting and stacking machinery.

About 50% of CM's business is outside NI and in this contract it will work with MGP Engineering of Cologne.

The cutting and stacking machinery will be used for lightweight foam boards being made by the Swiss company and for use in display and advertising products.

CM's sales director Liam Quinn, said that the contract strengthened its position as a significant European player in providing bespoke equipment.

"Our customers range from relatively small independent companies to major multinational corporations," Mr Quinn said,

"We provide customised machinery to suit each customer's requirements.

"Our flexibility means that we can compete on the same level with much larger and more established competitors."
