A rider has been airlifted to hospital after a serious incident at Saturday's Tandragee 100 motorcycle road race.

The air ambulance was deployed to the circuit after the competitor crashed during the Senior Support race.

The race was red-flagged and a lengthy delay of around two hours ensued before racing recommenced over the 5.3-mile circuit in county Armagh.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club said: "Our primary thoughts are with the competitor and his family.

"We are holding them close in our thoughts and wish him a full and swift recovery, while also sending strength and support to his family during this incredibly difficult time.

"We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the MCUI UC Medical and Welfare Teams, and on-track marshals for their swift and professional response."

A second attempt was made to run the race later in the day but that was also halted because of a red flag.

Michael Dunlop won four races at the meeting - the feature event, the Open race, the Supersport and the Moto3 class.

The four-timer takes his career total of wins at the Tandragee race to 17 and makes him the third most successful rider in the history of the event, behind his late uncle Joey and Ryan Farquhar.

Republic of Ireland rider Mike Browne was the early leader of the Open race on his Honda but was overhauled by MD Racing BMW-mounted Dunlop, who had 4.16 seconds to spare over the second-place finisher at the chequered flag.

Manx rider Conor Cummins was third in a race held in damp conditions, repeating the podium finish he achieved in his first appearance at the meeting for 18 years in 2025.

Browne also set the early pace in the Supersport outing on his BPE by Russell Racing Yamaha but as rain made the track more greasy, Dunlop assumed the lead and was awarded the victory after the race was red-flagged, Michael Sweeney completing the rostrum.

Record 36-time Isle of Man TT winner Dunlop again got the better of Browne in the feature event, his fourth success in that race, with Skerries rider Sweeney third.

The Ballymoney rider came home 2.9 seconds ahead of Browne after building his advantage throughout the race and setting the fastest lap of two minutes 52.666 seconds.

Marcus Simpson, Cummins and Kevin Keyes rounded out the top six.

Sweeney led early on in the Supertwins race which started in dry conditions but after the rain again began to dampen the track, Shaun Anderson worked his way through to take the win, 3.5 seconds ahead of Kevin Lavery, with Sweeney third.
