Teenage Fanclub added to Wickerman festival line-up

North Lanarkshire band Teenage Fanclub has been added to the list of acts at this year's Wickerman Festival.

The event, held at East Kirkcarswell Farm, near Kirkcudbright on the 23 and 24 July, is now in its ninth year.

Ocean Colour Scene and The Charlatans were unveiled as the headline acts earlier this year.

Other bands confirmed for the south of Scotland festival include The Saw Doctors, Codeine Velvet Club and The Undertones.

Also included in the 2010 line-up are The Futureheads, veteran singer Tony Christie and Welsh outfit Goldie Lookin Chain.

Festival Director Sid Ambrose said: "We have over 100 acts across eight stages with our aim being to make the Wickerman one of the most eclectic on the festival circuit."

About 15,000 revellers are expected to gather for the event which has grown in size steadily since the first one in 2002.
