The Voice UK viewers applaud
The Voice UK fans were thrilled to see the return of the ITV singing contest on Saturday night with the addition of Kelly Rowland on the panel. The Destiny's Child star has joined established mentors Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones after replacing LeAnn Rimes. And she has plenty of experience having previously been a judge on The X Factor and The Voice Australia.
Ahead of the first episode, Kelly said: "I am excited to join The Voice UK as a coach, and am looking forward to working with the excellent and passionate coaches the show is known for. I can't wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let's go!" And within minutes of the show opening, fans were rushing to support her, reports the Mirror.

One remarked: "I remember when Kelly Rowland was an X factor judge. She really is having her full circle moment (clapping emoji)." A second said: "Kelly will be brilliant #thevoiceuk."
A third said: "They got Kelly Rowland on the panel and for the first time in 15 years DIDN’T open the series with a coaches performance?! Fire the producers #TheVoiceUK."
It wasn't long before Kelly landed her first act. Singer Monique chose to go with her despite all the other members of the panel turning their chairs for her and then attempting to woo her by singing for her.
One fan said: "Monique has picked Kelly!" Another posted: "They all sang for her and she still went with Kelly who gave an incredible speech."
This year's series, hosted by Emma Willis, also features a twist - the Rewind Button. With just eight spots up for grabs on each team, the coaches must deliberate carefully as they hunt for Britain's most thrilling vocal talent. The Rewind Button offers them the opportunity to reclaim an artist they regret passing over.
This means one coach will be granted the chance during the Blind Auditions to reconsider their decision regarding an act that has departed the stage without a single chair turn.
Ahead of the premiere episode, ITV revealed: "If a coach realises they have made a mistake, they can hit Rewind, bring the act back, and offer them a place on their team.
"However, with only one Rewind available to each coach, they must choose their moment wisely. For an act who thought their journey was over, it could change everything.."
