Thousands Of Jews Have Fled

Thousands of Jews have fled the republics of the former Soviet Union in the face of a new variant of a familiar form of oppression: anti-Semitism. Among them are 17 orchestral musicians who landed in New York and formed the New American Chamber Orchestra. They've realized their first dream, to play in Carnegie Hall. From New York City, Susan Scheurer reports on the orchestra's reflections on the circumstances that brought them here and the discoveries they've made about musical life in their new home.
