Three men have been charged in connection with the abduction of a lorry driver in Northamptonshire.

The victim was sleeping in his cab in a lay-by at the A14 services at Rothwell, near Kettering, on 4 February, when he was tied up and bundled into a car.

He was dumped 75 miles away in Staffordshire and the cargo of Lego and beauty products were stolen.

A man from Skelmersdale, Lancs, and two men from Merseyside will appear before Corby magistrates later.

The empty lorry was abandoned in Merseyside.
