Greater Anglia said services were affected - primarily on the main line between London Liverpool Street and Norwich, but also branch lines in Essex

Train services running between Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and London have been affected by a trespass issue on the line.

Greater Anglia first reported that all lines were blocked between Witham and Hatfield Peverel in Essex at about 08:00 BST.

Passengers have been advised to check their journey before travelling as some services have been delayed and cancelled.

Police have been on site, but there is no estimated time for the lines to reopen, the rail operator said.
