We're into the business end of the transfer window now. While the Premier League returns in earnest this weekend, in the background, clubs are looking to drive home as many transfer deals as possible. All of the big-hitters are still looking to do business, with Manchester City expected to be the busiest among them. There are suggestions that as many as four players could be welcomed into the squad before the September 1 deadline.

Enzo Fernandez and Allan are being reported as potential options, with the likes of Savinho, Omar Marmoush, and Nico Gonzalez being linked to moves away. Tottenham and Newcastle United are among the teams being mooted as potential suitors for the unwanted City stars, with talk of deals being agreed before deadline day. Elsewhere, Manchester United are still on the lookout for a left-back, while Liverpool and Arsenal continue to be linked with forward additions.

Luciano Spalletti insists he isn't fretting about losing Kenan Yildiz amid rumours linking him to Arsenal.

The Turkish forward is reportedly being tracked by the Gunners, who are keen to add to their attacking options.

When asked about the prospect of Yildiz leaving, the Juventus manager remarked: "They can offer whatever they like, I want Yildiz here.

"I experience it calmly because the player is Yildiz. From my point of view, it's simple. (Laughs) They can offer whatever they want."

Mikel Arteta has shut down any talk of Martin Zubimendi leaving the club this summer.

Speaking after Friday's victory over Coventry, the Gunners boss remarked: “No, he’s a really important player.

“Without a doubt, he was one of the best players for Arsenal last season. Without him, we would never have got into the position that we got into in the last few weeks.”

Manchester City have been handed a double update on midfield targets Ayyoub Bouaddi and Enzo Fernandez.

The Blues are looking to rebuild their midfield following a summer refresh at the Etihad Stadium.

City are chasing Bouaddi and Fernandez, and speaking to TNT Sports about the former, David Ornstein said: "Manchester City have not reached the price Lille are asking for. Of course, they have made a big effort and they may succeed in completing the deal, but so far that has not happened yet...".

While on Fernandez, he added: "They really want him, and it is possible, but the Blues will not sell him unless the terms suit them. The deadline they set has passed. So I do not think it will be at the same price now as it was before the deadline".

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick refused to be drawn into commenting on a deal for Carlos Baleba.

United have reportedly agreed a deal with Brighton for the midfielder.

But speaking after the Red Devils' 2-0 defeat to Hull City, he remarked: "I had all eyes on this today so any other player, until he's ours, it's not for me to comment on."

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Yankuba Minteh.

The winger has been targeted by Liverpool and is said to be open to joining.

It's claimed by Fabrizio Romano that Minteh has agreed to join Liverpool, with conversations continuing surrounding the potential fee.

Brighton are demanding £70million, with two bids having been rejected so far.

Tottenham are still chasing after Omar Marmoush following an agreement with Manchester City over the signing of Savinho.

The winger is set to join Spurs in a deal worth an overall £85million.

Tottenham want further attacking additions and are keen to land a double City swoop.

It's claimed talks with Marmoush are continuing, with suggestions the two transfers could cost a combined £150m.

Manchester United have reportedly decided to move on from Lewis Hall after being told he's not for sale.

The left-back was identified as United's first-choice target, but Newcastle have endured a difficult summer.

It's now claimed by talkSPORT that they've chosen to move on to alternative targets.

The outlet is claiming Alejandro Balde and David Raum have been highlighted as potential options from Barcelona and RB Leipzig, respectively.

Liverpool are reportedly planning to pivot away from Yankuba Minteh if they can't agree a deal.

The Reds are keen to add forward additions after waving goodbye to Mohamed Salah.

They had identified Bradley Barcola as the primary target, but that doesn't look like it will go through.

As such, they've turned attention to Minteh from Brighton, but have already seen two bids rejected.

Speaking to TNT Sports, David Ornstein said: "It definitely stands a chance, but if the numbers are not right for Liverpool, I hear that they have another option they're weighing up and could pivot to if it doesn't suit them with Minteh. I'm not ruling it out, of course."
