Troublemakers facing a match ban

Lincolnshire Police are warning that disorderly behaviour in bars and pubs during the World Cup could result in football banning orders.

Police said these could be given for a range of offences from drunkenness to violent disorder.

Currently seven people in the county have such orders and have had passports confiscated ahead of the tournament.

Lincolnshire's football intelligence officer, Pc Andy Pearson, said troublemakers would not be tolerated.

Missiles were thrown at officers and two police cars were set on fire in Boston in June 2004 after England's defeat in Euro 2004, resulting in around 11 arrests.
