Urgent warning issued as Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury
Popular supermarkets Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury's have been forced to issue recall notices for a variety of reasons in recent months.
From labelling mistakes to the possible contamination of bacteria, the reasons for recall are varied but can have a serious impact on logistics, prices and consumer condfidence.
Below are 10 of the most recent recall notices issued by some of Britain's favourite supermarkets.
Tesco recalled the popular fruit product after salmonella was found in the product in February.
In a statement they said: “As a precaution, Tesco is recalling the specific date codes of Tesco Grape & Berry Medley 230G, due to the detection of Salmonella during testing, which may make the product unsafe to eat.”

Morrisons Chicken and Bacon Pasta was recalled along with two other products in August by the manufacturer because of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
A customer notice read: “As a precaution Morrisons is recalling Morrisons Chicken and Bacon Pasta 300g with the date code 7th Aug due to Listeria being found in the ingredients used to manufacture this product.”
“Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt.”
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
A labelling error saw Tesco recall its Special Fried Rice in January because the product contained wheat (gluten) which was not mentioned on the label.
At the time, customers were told: "Tesco is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
"The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."
In June, Morrisons was forced to recall its Coronation Chicken Pasta over fears that some packs might contain Florida Salad which contains milk and was not mentioned on the label.
