Work is due to begin on a £2.3m water pipeline scheme to help protect drinking water supplies in Hampshire.
South East Water is going to build 10km (6.2 miles) in total of new water mains across the east of the county.
Customers in Farringdon, Oakhanger, Bordon and Greatham/West Liss areas will benefit from the improvements.
There will be four new pipelines created and work is due to be under way at the end of June.
Three of the pipelines will help to meet current demand and future population growth.
A fourth will replace an existing water main that has come to the end of its operational life, after bursting a number of times.
All of the work is scheduled to be complete by January 2011.
