The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has seen a significant rise in demand for residential plots ever since the commercialisation of Jewar Airport, which began flight operations on June 15, with the cargo terminal opening two days later. Recently, Yeida announced the rollout of two new residential plot schemes, scheduled for Navratri in October. One of these schemes will cater to the low-income group, offering plots of 40 sqm.

The other will be open to the general public, with plot sizes ranging between 162 and 300 sqm. Both schemes are set to come up in Sector 5-A, close to Noida International Airport. To ensure fairness among applicants, anyone who has already received a residential plot under an earlier scheme run by Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority, or Yeida itself will not be allowed to apply this time.Shailendra Bhatia, additional CEO of Yeida, said the Authority is currently working out the finer details of the scheme, adding that the exact number of plots and other particulars would be announced shortly.

At present, the allotment rate for residential plots in the Yamuna Authority area stands at Rs 36,260 per sqm. This comes soon after Yamuna Authority allotted 973 residential plots through a lucky draw in June, also near the airport. That scheme, which had been announced in April, drew an overwhelming response of over 1.1 lakh valid applications for the same number of plots.Better air links, improving logistics infrastructure, and the promise of large-scale industrial and commercial growth in the area have made the region an increasingly attractive destination for both homebuyers and investors.Ready to Make a Smarter Property Decision?
