Tragedy as woman in her 80s dies after being

A woman in her 80s has tragically died after reportedly being hit by a car in a UK supermarket car park. Hampshire Police are appeaking for witnesses and dsh cam footage following the fatal collision in Gosport.

Police officers were alerted to a report of a collision in the car park of Morrisons on Walpole Road at 12.06pm on Friday (August 21). It was reported that a grey Kia Soul was driven into the car park before colliding with two pedestrians and several other parked and moving vehicles. One of the pedestrians, a woman in her 80s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A second person reported minor injuries.

Hampshire Police said the force will be reviewing CCTV and other lines of enquiry, but would also like to speak to any witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage.

The police force said in a statement: "We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Gosport.

"Police were called at 12.06pm this afternoon (Friday 21 August), to a report of a collision in the car park of Morrisons on Walpole Road.

"It was reported that a grey Kia Soul was driven into the car park before colliding with two pedestrians and several other parked and moving vehicles.

"One of the pedestrians, a woman in her 80s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

"A second person reported minor injuries.

"We will be reviewing CCTV and other lines of enquiry, but would also like to speak to any witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
